    Hey guys,

I'm from Toronto, Canada and planning to head over to California, USA. Let's say I have a data plan with telus, unlock my BB 9630, and purchase a local sim card in California, would I still be able to incorporate that data plan from Telus (bbm, internet, etc) to the new local sim card and use it in Cali?

I'm not too sure.. but i would guess no because the data plan you have with Telus is telus specific... you'd have to go with an available data plan with a local carrier.

No once you start using the local sim card, your phone becomes voice and text only. You'd have to get a global Telus data package to use data still.
