Soooo, I purchased a AT&T BOLD online from eBay for a good price, as stated its locked to the AT&T network. I want to unlock it for use with a T-Mobile account. I'm a little weary about using the "random" online unlocking companies.

    1. Are there any alternatives, if not who's the best

    2. Is the process fairly *****-proof..lol

    Thanks alot guys.

My suggestion would be Cellunlock.net, they are a wonderful bunch of people and can also be found here on Crackberry. Just search for Cellunlock and you'll find them.

call AT&T and say that you bought the phone online and you would like to unlock it so you can use it with your current provider. if that doesnt work, try my guide: http://forums.crackberry.com/f157/gu...-phone-506341/

I used CarrierUnlock.com to unlock my 9550. Had no problems with them. Like other unlock services, I found them here on CB.

search around pick your poison. there are a few companies that post here that are in good standing and quick for unlocking.

if you have been with at&t for 3 months, they will give you the unlock code for free. oh and also, using an at&t branded 9700 on at&t, you wont get 3G due to frequency differences. just an fyi.
