Just wondering if any one of you know how to unlock bb9700? I came across an app here for $10 and by installing it provided a code and thats about it. Just wondering if i do UNLOCK will that affect my current services or anything?

Shop around, I'm sure there are companies who can unlock it for less

...or you could just call your carrier and do it for free

As for negative effects - none, it'll be just fine.

Lots of times you can find unlockers giving away free codes on this site. Keep your eyes open and watch for it.

Usually they are willing to help you with it, contract or not. They still get their money whether it's locked or unlocked.

Ask for a $75 credit. We do it for free as long as the contract is in good standing.

Ive used cellunlock.net many times, use the discount code "crackb50" for 50% off...total cost $7.99 I believe. Youll have your code within about 15 minutes. The last time I used them (a few days ago), my code was emailed to me within like 4 minutes.

I dont know about telus, but here in the states, your carrier will give you the code for free...I called AT&T and told them I was planning a trip overseas and needed it unlocked so I could use my phone there...they gave me the code instantly.

Ok so I bought my code from Global Unlock Codes for 1.99 and now I'm just waiting. Although they did not specify how they will send the code to me and their wasn't a place for me to enter an email address on their website. JoJu58 could you tell me how and where they sent your unlock code to? Thanks

I just used them to unlock one of my other phones, and it took about 5 minutes from purchasing to receiving the code.

If you paid by PayPal, the code will be sent to the email address registered against that account.

The unlock code worked perfectly 1st time, and there's full instructions for anyone who's not sure what to do.

For just $1.99 I highly recommend Global Unlock

I unlocked a Verizon 9630 by just calling and asking CS, I unlocked my current 9700 by doing a Google search and finding a site that would do it for free.

Spend some time, save a buck, Google is your friend....

OK thanks Phil, I purchased mine about 40 min ago and have not received my code yet. I guess it differs for each person on how long it should take. I just hope they really send me my code though.

I jus got a used Bold 9700 and have reception issues. I bought the phone unlocked and before it was unlocked it was locked to rogers. Does unlocking the phone cause reception issues? I have reception outside but none at home or work, always SOS. Rogers will give me a new one because of warranty but if they find out unlocking the phone caused the reception issue then they gon charge me 200-500. PLZ HELP this is my first BB. THX BTW im with rogers

Unlocking the phone will have absolutely nothing to do with your poor reception issues
