No you can't because Sprint is a CDMA Network only and don't have Active SIM cards in the USA. If you want to use a 9650 with Sprint, your only option will be to buy one from them.

If she's able to make call the phone is unlocked. What you need for data is to have a Blackberry Data plan on the account and you might need to load the Service Books manually.

    What exact model number?

A Sprint BlackBerry would need to have World Phone capabilities in order for it to be used on AT&T. The 9630 and 9650 meet this criteria.

And yes, the device would need to be unlocked but most likely it already is (especially since you state that you can make calls and send text messages).

You will need an active BLACKBERRY Data Plan from AT&T in order to "use the internet".

Note that AT&T will automatically add the highest data plan if you don't add one first.

Note also that you will likely need to manually load the Service Books if the device is not one that AT&T carries (such as the 9630 and 9650) in order to get the data features working.

    Hey Crackberry Nation,

Verizon has released the Blackberry Bold 9650 and we've just completed a successful unlock! That was quick.

All we need is the 15 Digit IMEI. The process is the same as all other Blackberry phones. Once you get the unlock code, you can go to Options/Advanced Options/SIM Card and then type the letters mepd and then mep (alt) 2 and you will be prompted for the unlock code. At this point you want to enter the unlock code we give you.

Unlike the Sprint 9650, the 9650 is sold by Verizon locked.

Any one of us unlockers here can help you unlock your Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650.

Also remember, if you have an account with Verizon, you might want to try and call them to get the unlock code for free from them before.

Let us know if you have any question.
I want to purchase a BlackBerry Bold 9650 from a personal seller but it's from Verizon, said its new, would I still be able to unlock it for Sprint?

No that's won't be possible because Sprint is CDMA only and won't allow you to register the ESN on their Network.
