    i just purchased my blackberry storm 9530 at ebay and the seller did'nt provide the password on the phone, how can i unlock it? please i need help! thanks a lot!!!

    Or, you can force the device to wipe itself by entering the password incorrectly multiple times. All the personal data and third party apps will be destroyed, leaving you with a clean device. Just enter random things as the password until it gets mad and wipes itself. Do NOT remove the battery while it is wiping. Don't do anything with it until you see the (now passwordless) homescreen.

    i agree enter password incorrectly a number of times. easiest way to have a fresh install.

    As stated above, you're going to have to wipe the device unfortunately. If you need any help unlocking the phone AFTER the security settings have been reset, don't hesitate to let me know!

    10 times is the default setting, but it can be changed.
