You would need to flash it, but Verizon doesn't activate devices that are not branded to their carrier.

The major CDMA carrier will NOT allow a device branded to another carrier to be activated on their network.

An 8530 cannot be "unlocked" and flashing will not allow you to use a Verizon device on Telus.

You need to get a Telus branded device.

That's correct especially that most CDMA providers don't have an Open ESN policy not allowing you to register the ESN on the network so even if you would get it flashed they would still need to allow the ESN on their Network.

    Where? Lol

Flashing is not something dealt wth on here. Easy to if you know which files to flash, but native services will not work
