OK, so being the ****** that I am, I paid phoneunlockers.com for unlock codes for my VZW 9530. They sent me 2 codes, neither of which worked. I got a code failed error message for each of them (and I tried each one twice). Now they want me to take a video of entering the codes and having them fail (which would be another failed attempt for each code), and email it to them before they will refund me. Somewhere I heard that there is a limit as to how many times you can try to unlock a phone and fail, and that after that limit you can NOT unlock the phone. Is that correct? If so, what is the limit of failed attempts, and is it irrevocable?

Yeah shoot them a short video, I don't think that's too much to be asked, that way they don't know you would have a "free" unlocked phone after they attempted to help you. Personally I followed a thread yesterday that verizon customers can get free unlocks and it worked for me. GO GO Verizon Global Customer Support!

10 per code, or 10 attempts total? And "toast" means absolutely no possibility of ever being able to unlock that phone?
