    Hello!
    Sorry for my english!

Vodafone has gave me the a code to unlock my BB

The problem is to access to the Menu to unlock it:

These are the steps that vodafone has told me:
    - Turn off all conections
    - Go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
    - Press Menu button > Show Keyboard
    - Put in landscape mode my BB
    - Type the code " 2@2###############" where # is the code and press Enter

These are the steps in internet:
    - Turn off all conections
    - Go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
    - Press Menu button > Show Keyboard
    - Put in landscape mode my BB
    - Type MEPD > MEP2
    - Type the code and press Enter

With the Vodafone way, i'm typing the code in nowhere!!!! but they are sure that it is the correct way...

I have tried the internet way and i get error code :S

    My questions:
    - how many long is the MEP Code?????
    - Has anyone tried the Vodafone way? or it is wrong?

Ido not know how many characters the code should be, but the second method you are trying to use, MEPD then MEP2 is the correct way to enter. It will bring up an input area for the code. It will also show you how many more times you can try to input it.

Be careful not to use up all of your 10 tries. Once that is done, it may become very difficult to get the phone unlocked.

The MEP code varies from carrier to carrier, I think the Vodafone one is around 10 to 16 charaters in length.
To get MEP code prompt to come up, turn the phone off, do a battery pull, then once the phone comes on, it should prompt you for the MEP code before asking for your PIN code.

yes, i already did it! but the code was wrong! :S 7 tries left

vodafone is going to confirm the mep code, once confirmed... is there a professional customer service that really know how to unlock it? because i dont trust Vodafone callcenter! they dont have tech knowledge

If you get code error it is because they gave you the incorrect code.

The 'internet way' that you've listed is the correct way to unlock it. If you've tried and get code error then you have a bad code and will either need them to re-confirm it for you, or you can buy one from any of us who are more experienced that call center reps.

You can place an order through either of our sites

Landscape mode is to put the phone sideways in order to show the full keyboard.
