Ok so I upgraded to a 9700 and I'm selling my 8300. I have a bpossible buy but she is with Telus. Is there a way to unlock my 8300 so it can be used on Telus? Is it safe and reliable?

rogers uses sim cards where telus does not, so the phone wont be supported. rogers is gsm whereas telus is cdma. sim cards are the better of the two where you can just change phones where telus you need to add all contacts again.

Telus does use sim cards, but the 8300 doesn't support the same frequencies the Telus HSPA network does.
