    Hello Everyone,

I have a Rogers Blackberry Torch that I got unlocked. My questions are?

1- When I slipped in a Fido SIM card I got the triangle sign next to the word Fido on the screen, the triangle means Roaming. Am i actually roaming(ie being charged for roaming when I use the phone)?

2- Why did I get the roaming triangle sign and how do I get rid of it?

3- I bought the Torch from Rogers, Rogers GSM and 3G Frequencies are 850/1900. I plan to visit Dubai and Etisalat GSM frequency is 900 and their 3G is 2100, so will my phone work there when I slip in an Etisalat SIM card?

4- With Etisalats SIM card in my phone and with their data plan will I have 3G will I have BBM or do I need to release my PIN from Rogers??

    Your help is appreciated

You will not be charged roaming because your inside of Canada. It's only once you leave Canada then you will be charged. I believe the Torch supports 2100 frequency.

You get the roaming indicator because it is isn't a Fido device.
