    Firstly hi to everyone,
Im in the process of replacing my Pearl 8120 with a Pearl 9105 3G

My current network is O2 Uk
however the brand new Pearl 3G is branded to Vodafone (rubbish red screens on startup) and locked to a Vodafone network

Is there a way to get a free unlock code as well as debranding it to remove the vodafone uk customizations on it

I remember using a MFI loader when i did my old Pearl 8120 But im sure things must have changed since then

looking forward to your replies before i start trying new things and possibly more questions on this forum

You cannot remove the startup screen from the phone. You risk bricking the phone using software like that. Doesn't O2 sell the 9105?

Also, MFI Loader is an illegally obtained software. You cannot discuss it on the CrackBerry forums.

You can't change the software, but, you can change the housing of the device!
Also, as said above, O2 does sell the 9105 in a nice purple color.

    1. Turn off the Wireless Radio
    2. Next go to Settings > Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
    3. Now, hold down the ALT key and press the keys that correspond to: m e p d
    4. Next hold down the ALT key again and press the keys that correspond to: m e p 2
    5. You should see a menu where you can put in a 16 digit code and 10 tries to punch it in correctly.
    6. After you enter in the code, press Enter.
    7. It should say “Device Unlocked” and you have an unlocked Blackberry.
^ I would suggest trying that method, which I found using Google.
Otherwise, if that fails, there are various YouTube videos to help also.

    Cheers

Thats done the trick additionally once you know waht your unlock codes are,
just put the sim that doesnt work into the mobile and your auto prompted for the unlock code without going into the silly menus
