    Hello all,

I didn't really find in the previous post something related to my issue (not simlock but wifi lock). I have a blackberry from Mobistar, Belgium. My company has locked the wifi (don't know if it's through the BB, or Mobistar). All the rest is unlocked and I can use simcard from a different operator. How could I unlock the wifi ? I have a BB 9700 Bold.

    Many thanks!

Looks like you have an IT Policy. You can remove that policy for free. This should help

Are there any other ways to activate the WiFi, but to reset the IT policies. Resetting does not help. Also does not help flashing to different versions of the OS.

RIM blocked this feature for our country. No wifi option in network manage. and it does not really like all of us. and surely nothing can be done to unlock this WiFi.

This is the question. I have officially brought by the phone. Unlocked from a local operator. In our country, banned WiFi in handsets RIM. RIM blocks WiFi. Asked how he does it. MAC address for WiFi module is. Only in Network device manipulated by the wifi there. In the engineering menu is.

Thanks for the link! I'd like to try it but wiping everything off scares me ^^

The company I'm consultant for setup my blackberry to be connected to their company email, and I wouldn't like to lose this configuration as I'm travelling 6 months without getting back home...

How to be sure I'll receive again their emails after wiping, considering that
    - both BIS & BES are "not connected" in service status
    - I have a desktop activated but i don't have any information about it (no enterprise server, nothing)
    - in security options, I have services WLM 2.1 AES and Desktop running AES running

Thanks to let me know how to make a proper backup to keep access to the company email configured!

    many thanks

What information can I give you on my device to enable WiFi. May have service books for the activation of a menu control connection?

that wouldn't be RIM, that would be your carrier.

To unlock it, try to use a different carrier's OS ...

A different carriers OS won't matter. Service books are sent via the carrier.

You will need to migrate to a different carrier.
