Thank you very much for helping people. I bought bold 9930 ( version ) and I'm currently using T-mobile. I unlocked it and the phone working well. However, The Internet and the bb messenger doesn't work at all. Is there any way to solve this problem?
Do you have a Blackberry data plan with T-Mobile?

Yes, try that it might do the trick.

Go to options -> device -> advanced -> host routing table and click menu register now

    also try a battery pull.

Ok .. Thanks a lottttt for replying. Today I have to repay my phone. I've prepaid SIM card with T-mobile.
So guys do you recommend me to go ahead and pay or change to AT&T ?
Also guys I'm really worried about my blackberry. I went to cell store and he told me even if you unlock your verison blackberry, it will not support the Internet with t-mobile or any company else.. Is that true??

I'll try the routing table after I reful my account.

I refull my account and I have the right plan, however the Internet still doesn't work. I called T-mobile customer service.. I setted everything as they said ..

If anyone need the setting it's listed below

Routing table and send registration message
    , browser push is Enabled
, changed the network technology to GSM/UMTS
, changed the Network mode to 2G
, and go to TCP IP in advance setting and enabled the APN also change it to ( epc.tmobile.com )

Is there any way to fix that ??
Again my unlocked bb is 9930 from Varizon, USA.

    Thanks again for helping

It must be a network issue as there might not be a blackberry data code on the account. Does tmobile still offer prepaid BIS?

3G only if your carrier supports same 3G frequency bands.

    Hi Fahad Riaz Sakrani,

It will work with 2G/EDGE speeds 100% guaranteed as the phone is quadband GSM

The Verizon Blackberry Bold 9930 Supports 900/2100MHz 3G bands

If Etisalat Uses 900/2100MHz 3G bands (Which I think it does) then yes it will work on 3G as well.

Just call Etisalat and double check which 3G network bands(frequencies) they use

    Cheers!

It's finally here! - the Verizon 9930 BOLD Just came out today August 15th!!!!!

Since the 9930 BOLD is a brand new model, many of you may want to know how to unlock it, so we've shared the BlackBerry BOLD 9930's Unlocking Instructions below!

I am purchasing a blackberry 9930 from version. I want to unlock so it would work on a GSM network. Is that even possible and if yes how would i go about doing that. Thanks in Advance.

First you will need your BlackBerry BOLD 9930's Unlock Code (MEP code)

You can get your unlock code a number of ways

    1) Call VERIZON and request an unlock code, (tell them you're going overseas for a better chance of getting it!)

    2) You can INSTANTLY get your Unlock Code from us at BlackberryCodeSource.com or from any of the other unlockers on Crackberry

Once you have your BOLD 9930's unlock code, you just need to enter it following these simple steps.

    1) Insert an unaccepted SIM card one that's not from the network your phone is locked to.

2) Select yes when prompted if you want to enter an unlock code(MEP Code)

    3) Enter your BOLD 9930's unlock code.

Wait about 10-30 seconds and it should connect to the network carrier that the inserted SIM card is from.

(NOTE you may need to switch the phone to GSM MODE if it's not yet set to it. You can do this in the network settings section.)

    That's it! Easy as 1 - 2 - 3!

or you can enter the unlock code like this:

    1) Insert any SIM card and turn off all wireless connections

    2) Go to Options -> Device -> Advanced System Settings -> Sim Card

    2) Press and Hold the ALT key and type the letters "mepe" (without the quotes, you will not see anything on the screen when typing)

    3) Once you see the Personalization Screen type "mep [alt] 2" (without the quotes, you will not see anything on the screen when typing).

You should be prompted for the code. If you're not prompted for the code, Press and Hold the ALT key and type MEP2

    Enter the provided unlock code

It's recommend to do a Battery pull after unlocking your Blackberry

(NOTE you may need to switch the phone to GSM MODE if it's not yet set to it. You can do this in the network settings section.)

    That's it! Easy as 1 - 2 - 3!

Now you're free to use your BlackBerry BOLD 9930 with any GSM network worldwide!

If you have any Blackberry related questions at all send us an email, we're happy to help!

    Cheers!

    Hi systemX,

    Try the easy way

Just turn the phone on with any non verizon simcard and it will ask for the MEP code (Unlock Code)

    Enter your unlock code

Let me know if you have any other questions at all,

    James
Hi James, thanks for your reply. I have inserted a non verizon sim card into the phone, and calls can be made. Not once did the phone prompt for a MEP code upon sim card insertion also

However, upon selecting browser, or even the facebook application, it keeps telling me "Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current plan etc etc". Does this have to do anything with unlocking the phone?

    Hi systemX,

The phone is already unlocked if it lets you make calls with a different simcard

What you need to do is install your networks service books(blackberry settings) on your 9930

You can call your network and ask them to push the service books to your phone

    Cheers,

    James

I'm not sure how or where to write this because it's my first time using this site. But here's my issues: I am using a BB Bold 9930 in Italy. It's a brand new Verizon phone, and they walked me through unlocking it before I left the US. They also said that I could buy and use a local SIM card after it was unlocked. I purchased a pre-paid Vodafone SIM card and have been using it successfully after huge headaches. My problem is this: I took out the Vodafone SIM and put the Verizon SIM back in so I could call Verizon and BB tech support by dialing *611, which one can do at no charge from Europe ratheer than paying insane international prices per minute just to be bounced around on hold half the day using the Vodafone SIM, and after I put the Verizon SIM back in, the phone will not work at all. I get an error message saying the SIM is not recognized, or something like that. Verizon told me it's just "plug and play" when you put their SIM card back in. I have the international plan, and they told me their SIM works all over western europe. So my question is this: is there something I need to do to get the Verizon SIM set up or reactivated in the phone? Many thanks for any help anyone can offer!
