Hi everyone, ive just bought a blackberry curve 8900 which is locked to t-mobile and i have an 02 sim card so am wanting to unlock it.

Ive read and watched videos on youtube about ringing the service provider and pretending your leaving the country and thus asking them to unlock the phone by giving you the MEP code. Alot of people have had success with this.

Ive just tried this and the man just said i would have to purchase a 14.99 subsidary pin which would take 28 days?

Could somebody please help me i don't know what to do!?
    Thanks, Jay

id try calling back to tmo ... some reps will unlock it ..
if they dont... go on ebay or any of the sites that unlock BBs and pay a small fee ($10 or so)

Call again to talk to T Mobile rep. Be nice to the rep. Ask again to see if s/he will help you. If T-Mobile does not provide you with the unlock code, get it from various vendors providing the unlock code. The price is changing between $12 to $19.

Try to get the unlock code from your carrier if not use a 3rd party service
