    Hello all.
I'm new here and no kind of phone expert. I just unlocked my formerly US ATT/Cingular Curve 8300. I am currently in Venezuela and my carrier is Movilnet. I have the simcard installed, it is recognized, and I can receive calls and texts. BUT, I can't call out. I get a call banned message when I try, and then I got a text that said OTA not supported, contact GSM.

I know what OTA means, but after that I'm out. I really want to be able to use this phone - any guidance would be most appreciated. If you're kind enough to try to help, remember I'm a total newbie so talk to me like I was 5. Thanks!

well I can take it to the Movilnet store but I don't have a lot of confidence in their ablitiy to help me - you know mobile phone stores, everyone who works there is like 17. really hoping someone online is going to pop up with the answer...
