    Heylo.

Well, my questions are in the title.
In the next couple of days I'm buying my friends Bold for 140 (Sounds dodgy, but it's in awesome condition, still boxed etc.) but it's locked to O2. Now, I am currently on O2 but because I can't afford a contract right now I wanted to be on Orange so I could use the 5/m BIS plan.

So what's the easiest/cheapest way to unlock a Bold?

    Thanks

    Thanks man
Well I think I'll give O2 a try but if I can't get a code from them then eBay will be the option.

I paid $3 on ebay for a code. So if carrier won't help, its cheap anyways!

I just unlocked my phone today from cellunlock.net

Best thing to do is google any online coupons you can use. I got 50% off the price for my Bold, and I got the unlock code the next day.

I might consider it next time ibstead of horizon wireless (horizonwirelessonline.com) that takes 2 days when they promised a code within 24 hours for their price. Terrible, and shameful business practice. Slow for sure.

For all other people, just pass on Horizon Wireless and pick somebody else to unlock your phone.

Try GlobalUnlock. I've used them to unlock 2 of my blackberries. They charge a bit more, but its worth it.

I have never heard of anyone not getting it when they paid. Last give a way it took some a very long time, but I think something like 15k people got in on it. It just blew them out.

Ill chime in and say that freeyourcellphone.com is a good place. One complaint though... I paid for the expedited delivery of my code and it took them 53 hours. They apologized for the delay and refunded my money AND I still got the code. They were great.
