I have AT&T and would like to unlock my Curve because I travel.
I know that if I damage by phone physically while under insurance, I am entitled to a new replacement so long as I pay the deductible.

Anyway, I was wondering if unlocking the phone would void the insurance agreement?

If it does void the insurance agreement:
Say I lost the phone completely and wanted a replacement--
Does AT&T have on file in their database that I unlocked my phone when I had it?

AFAIK, cellphone insurance is issued by a third party, not AT&T, so I doubt they care if your phone is unlocked. They only care that you pay the premiums.
