    Hi,
Maybe we can help you, what does the phone say before and after you enter the code? Do you get the "Enter Network MEP code" and if so, how many attempts do you have left?

Ok, go to Options/Advanced Options/Sim Card

    Then type : mepd

You should see a screen "Personalisation"

    Afterwards you type: mep2

Then you should be prompted to enter the code. You don't need to hold the ALT when entering the code.

Ok so here's the proper instructions.

    Option/Advanced Options/SIM card

Then the actual sequence you need to type is: mepd and then mep [ALT] 2

But because the 8120 has two letters per key you will need to type twice the "P" in order to get one "P" (that's why they say " meppd and mepp[ALT]2.

We also have a Video on YouTube, which can help you and can be found here. It was made for the 8100 but the instructions are the same as the 8120

No you don't, but if it doesn't work with no SIM then you can try with a SIM. Also make sure to turn all connections off (Wireless/Radio Off)
