    Hello!

When I was laid off, I was allowed to keep my company-issued Blackberry Curve 8310, from AT&T. As money was tight, I did not continue with the contract, and my Blackberry has been inside a desk since.

But I finally got a job. It is a step down, financially, but at least it is something. My new job will not provide me with a cell phone. I heard that Virgin has great plans, starting at $25. I am not a heavy cell phone user, so I am attracted to something like this.

My question is: can I unlock my Curve to use with Virgin?

If so, what are the steps I need to take?

    Thank you!

Short and sweet the answer is no, you cannot. Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint system, which is CDMA, not GSM like your phone is. You should be able to use a Go! SIM on AT&T's system, though.

Now, what's a Go! SIM? I am so ignorant of all things technology that I need a lot of help.

    Thank you!!
