    I had no problems accessing the Help Me! Screen from my storm 1, but the same keystrokes do not seem to work for the Storm 2... Can anyone tell me how to access that screen from the Storm 2?

    hi iam trying to access the engineering screen so i can enable UMA on my 9700. I am on orange uk which supports UMA but got my phone through Phones4U so the phone is unlocked and UMA isnt enabled.

    I have used Thyth-o-matic to generate my code but it doesnt seem to work for me. i am sure i am trying in all the details correctly including the bit in brackets on the app version. I then get my code and type it in on the help me screen and nothing happens. I am typing it in the capitals.

    please help

    thanks

    So under the radio engineering screen theres CDMA radio engineering screens then EVDO screen (which is 3G right?) now i have the option to disable throttle here. Does anyone have any idea what exactly is throttled and if I disable it then will the browser be able to download larger files or improve speeds or any benefit at all

    quite welcome. I'd love to hear how it goes for people as the escreens are already unlocked on my phone, I've not yet thoroughly tested my own version! If I don't hear back from a few people by this evening I'll reset the Help Me! screen, test, and report.

    Many thanks - works very well on my 9700 running 5.0.0.415. Glad to have a local resource that doesn't include software from, uh, questionable sources.

    [edit] Just to be clear, I was not referring to anything linked here as 'questionable'. [/edit]

    Use this code. I use it and it works perfectly.

    Saving the following code as an html file should produce very similar results to visiting Thyth's site:

    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">

    <style type="text/css">

      display: block;
      float: left;
      text-align: right;
      padding-right: 2px;
    }
    </style>

    <script type="text/javascript">

    Did anybody ever figure out how to adjust call quality for the ear speaker, or increase clock speed (like in the previous post) on the Storm 9530? I'm looking through my escreen but I can't seem to find it.

    By the way, I'm running this on the 5.0.0.419/.436 hybrid (.419 radio, .436 Java). So the escreen algorithm still works on .436 java.

    I didn't write that code myself. I cleaned up, copied and pasted bits of source code from pages I found using Google.
    great. works for me.

    I got BB9700 (unbranded) from orange UK. even though orange supports UMA but there was no Network Prefrence option in the mobile networks menu. Few months ago I used Thyth's code generator to switch on factory provisioning for UMA.
    Today i connected my BB to Desktop manager and it suggested that there is a software update for the device and i clicked ok to the new version of software. After the software update i realized that UMA disappeared. Check the network preference menu and it was missing as well. Tried to go back to Thyth's old web page and found it is down becuase BB sent lawyers to him.
    Luckily i saw this post, followed it and bang. I was able to get in to the escreen and switched on the UMA provision. Works absolutely fine now.

    Thanks guys, keep up the good work

    Out of curiosity, what menu is the UMA provisioning under?

    Did anybody ever figure out how to adjust call quality for the ear speaker, or increase clock speed (like in the previous post) on the Storm 9530? I'm looking through my escreen but I can't seem to find it.

    By the way, I'm running this on the 5.0.0.419/.436 hybrid (.419 radio, .436 Java). So the escreen algorithm still works on .436 java.
    I'm looking for the way to adjust the call quality for the ear speaker for my 9550. Anyone figure it out?

    Only thing I found was "Lost UMA In OneRadio Mode"

    Does that mean you don't need my help? I tried to respond to your PM but it looks like you can't receive PMs. Let me know.

    Here's probably the easieast way to handle it: PM me an email address that goes to your 'Berry and I'll send you the html file. If your phone doesn't know what to do with it, use FileScout to associate html files with the Browser and open it that way.
