We are using UEM to push out a WiFi policy and when doing so, all Android devices get a static address automatically assigned (gets a 192.168.x.x) and the device can never browse as the address is not the same subnet that we use. When pushing to an iPhone, its gets DHCP and all works fine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get DHCP assigned to Android as well? Seems like this should be easy, but I can't find any way to do this.

    Thanks,
    Gavin

I've never seen this, could be a few things

What happens if you manually connect one of these android devices to wifi without the policy, or without even being enrolled on uem?

A wifi profile is too simple to be messing with that network layer. I'd look elsewhere. Packet shaper or proxy?

We have the same problem. Our supposition, the problem is the UEM Client new version. In enrolled devices without problems we tried to forget the profile and when UEM Client applied it again it started to give this problem. Our UEM version is 12.11 and the UEM Client is 12.35.0.155650.

It works fine if we manually connect to the SSID. According to BB support, this is by design with Android when a WiFi policy gets applied to the device. I have a hard time believing that but I guess its possible.
