    This phone was my phone two phones ago - I'm trading it in. In order to clear the contents I'm trying to charge it enough to work in it, but I've had it plugged in for about an hour and the screen battery icon with the lightening has shown no increase in charge. The icon disappears when I remove the battery. 1) is the battery dysfunctional after sitting in the inactive phone for so long? 2) how do I get into the phone, if I can at all?

    Welcome to CrackBerry! Sounds like the battery has gone on that one. Are you able to borrow a battery?
