    Usually I have full service all bars filled up with 1XEV service. I woke up and can't get past 1x even though the bars are still completely filled up. Needless to say I can't use the internet, send texts out or anything. It has basically rendered my phone useless how can I fix this?

    Battery reset the device. with it powered on, pull the battery for about 15 seconds

    Last weekend, I had my phone jump down to 1X. It would even occasionally time out when attempting to connect to the internet. In the morning, I checked and it kept jumping back and forth between 1X and 1XEV. I checked my wife's BB and it was showing 1X as well.

    When I called our carrier, I found out they were working on the cell tower. Sure enough, we could go to other side of town and get 1XEV, but at home, only 1X. I think it was a day later that we finally got 1XEV back.

    It may be something that the carrier is working on.

    menu > options > mobile network > menu > update profile, when thats done then do update preferred list which is the same menue and it updates your PRL

    I say go back to sleep.... Maybe it's just a dream ..
    Actually it happened to me at the office this morning and I just changed the Network Selection option to Automatic as I usually keep it on Home as I tend to get great signal usually...

    The only time I've seen this is with a billing issue and they turned off my phone. Once customer support corrected the issue, I was immediately restored.
