    Just out of curiosity.
It seems as if BlackBerrys are recession-proof for those who are truly addicted.
There are numerous 9530's that people have bought, unlocked, and are using on TMO or AT&T even with the lack of WiFi.

    So my question is:
Will you or would you buy a 9630 (Retail, Craigslist, ebay, etc), unlock it and run it on a GSM carrier?

Also, just so the thread doesn't get a ton of these questions:
A: It will NOT connect to the 3G network on AT&T (or TMo)
B: It does NOT have WiFi

No, the 8900 has better form factor with wifi.

I wouldn't want a 9630 with the same edge speeds and no wifi, that is just downgrading on T-Mobile. If I were on Verizon/Sprint, that would be a different story.

Yeah maybe is has the same 2G tech as the 8900 but i highly doubt it. Not saying its a bad phone but with no WiFi why would someone pay full price to 'down grade' from a Bold or 8900 is beyond me.

    Note i said full price

Haha, yeah full price for this phone would be a no to me also. But if "they" can give me a deal I would pick it up fast.

I just hope that Kevin(I also feel bad, $1200 if that's what he really paid), when he does his review of it, has a speed comparison between the 9630 and the Bold/8900.

bold and 8900 are wifi capable and if nothing just as fast with probably very similar memory it would not be worth it or make sense if you like the size buy the 8900 if you like keyboard buy the bold. the 9630 is simply the bone thrown to us cdma users i would much rather have a bold or 8900. both are better devices.
