So, I have looked at my tour and on the trackball i just noticed i have litttle scratches on it....Do you think this will effect its performance at all?

The oilyness or dryness of your finger tips and the environment in which you use your Tour will have more effect on the trackball than tiny scratches. All trackballs mechanisms eventually get fouled, despite your best efforts.

I'm sure it depends. Maybe it will help you! Most of my other devices have trackballs that have a bit of "texture" to them. The tourballs don't seem to feel or work the same or as well IMO.
