I am a Storm guy entertaining the switch to the Tour. I went to check out the Tour at the VZW store and was surprised that the new look ESPN Mobile format that I have on my Storm did not exist on the Tour. Rather it was the old format. If the OS on the Tour is newer than that of the Storm, why would it be the old format?

Its the browser I.D. Prolly. They're different browsers. Or settings. When espn first changed it told me to enable a specific setting to fully support the new template. Maybe that setting wasn't enabled so it redirected you to the old format?
