The tour is great, but the lack of threaded messages and other 5.0 OS features are leaving me feeling left behind.. the lack of wi-fi and trackpad aside, i love my phone... but why RIM?! why continue to neglect your 9630 users?! I dont feel the love!!!!

Tour 2 is not released... Giving Tour 1 OS5 prior to the release doesn't make the Tour 2 look like as much of an upgrade.

And for the last time IT'S NOT RIM. The carriers are sitting on the OS upgrade to sell more Tour2's.

That's pretty much what VZW did with OS5 for the 9530 - released it on a Sunday/Monday and then released the 9550 on that Wednesday.

Try the leaked .419. It works pretty well.

Sure didn't stop my from picking up my 9550 on release day though!

It did, however, make me feel more confident on my back-up phone.

I don't see what the big rush is. 5.0 doesn't seem like it's much of an upgrade and my Tour works great on the current software.

The reason is not enough people have been downloading and running the Beta's and Hybrids to provide the feedback needed to release the final, real, official, sanctioned and still buggy OS 5 for Tour.

Are you high? .419 is not ready for release because it is still a very flawed OS.

Just from one man's observations:

1.) Display bug in threaded SMS: Garbled black pixels when a divider is near the top of the screen.
2.) Black display when attempting to re-activate screen after going idle.
3.) Occasionally problems coming out of standby; battery pull needed.
4.) Re-registers everytime booted, at least on Sprint.

If *THIS* is what RIM gave to carriers (I hope not) then it is a flaming bag of ****. Not even worthy of being called a late-stage beta; the bugs (while not major) are so obvious and recurring that they should have been worked out already.

.419 is awesome still went back to 4.7 because it's compatible with all apps

I've been using .230 on Verizon and have no complaints I'm sure the *official* 5.0 won't be perfect either so just treat the leaks as older OS's and the *official* as a patch, nothing's perfect operating wise, windows, OS'x, any software is going to have a glitch here and there just deal that's life.
