There are geeks, and then there are blackberry geeks. Which one are you?

You might have hidden your Contacts icon accidentally. Have you tried BB Menu Key>Show All? If it still doesn't show up either in your app list or any of your folders, then it's probably time to resend your service books.

PS - It wouldn't hurt to try a battery pull also.

Until you're able to find your [hidden] icon, you can depress the PHONE key for several seconds and your contacts list will appear. However, to view them you have to hit MENU > VIEW, rather than click on it. Otherwise, you will call the number assigned.

This is correct; however, if you access the Contacts this way, you can only select to call them or forward the Contact, not send any type of message to them.

To the OP: have you tried the Show All option yet to view any potentially hidden Icons? Also, it's the effort to check in every Folder as well.

By the way, you unfortunately have to perform the Show All selection separately within each Folder and the main Icon screen.
