There is all of this talk about the new blackerry OS 5.0x but I am curious as to what the actual differences are between 5.0 and 4.7. I am looking to upgrade, but just want to make sure the changes and fixes are worth it.

there are many many new features. depending on the degree to which you use your BlackBerry, you'll discover the features as you go.

OS 5 is what every BB should have had A LONG TIME AGO.

From the visual standpoint, this is correct, but there are many more new and/or improved things in OS5, like the browser, enhanced menus, more under the hood stuff, etc...

Buttons are all bubbled with a flat black window.

    Alarm clock buttons are different

Unlike MTS version there isn't a BBMaps

    Still no 3G Icon

In the applications menu you can chose to view Third party apps, add on's, or core.

    same .419 reboot loading screen.

Some Button styles are different with a blue background when highlighted.

Here's a big one: I jumped from having 120.1MB for App memory rather then the 106.MB I had with the MTS dowload.

    Threaded SMS

New sms options (view convo style: bubbles or stripes. And show names.

Precision Verizon Theme can be modified under options, themes.

In internet options you get GEARZ options underneath cache options. (whatever that does.

Mostly its appearance, which it looks nice with the 3d bubble style buttons
