I've tried searching, but no luck. I want to know what the mute key on the top right corner of the Tour does. At first I thought it was a silent switch (toggle between ringer and vibrate), but when I press it nothing happens. When I press and hold it goes into stand-by mode. What is it really supposed to do when I press it once? Thanks in advance.

When a call is ringing...you press it to mute the ringer. Also pauses music and video when viewing/listening

Yes it applies to all the bb mute keys ...it also puts the phone into a "sleep mode" if you hold it down

hhmm, didn't know that, I've been using "screen lock" on the left, I'll toy with using different ones though.

Yep! The screen lock will lock your keys and turn off the screen....the mute button if held will do the same thing but it puts it into a "sleep mode" which is a battery saver

Amazingly enough, the "Mute" key will also mute the microphone on your phone if you are in a call.

Pressing and holding the "Q" key will put the phone in vibrate mode. That will silence everything except the clock alarm.

(To return to "Normal" mode, press and hold the "Q" key again.)
