For me I'm only running about 9 or 10 apps plus, I used shrink-a-os to remove all the stuff i don't use from the os. Things like the help files, setup wizard, wireless update, hearing aid compatibility, unused languages, etc.

Under the same conditions, I would assume 5.0 to be larger than 4.7, since it contains SureType.

I used shrink-a-os and booted fresh at about 132. It's down to 115 now with all my apps loaded. I know it feels nice to have a whole bunch of free application memory, but there really isn't any difference between 140 free and 40 free.

Oh yeah, I also have the 3G symbol!

For those that didn't shrink, try maxmem from berrycoder.com. You can get rid of voice dialing and the preloaded wallpapers and videos at least.

I have 10 apps- 5 themes-MP3's and I usually have 114.2 mb after running QuickPull. Will have more as soon as I use Shrink-A-OS and get rid of the useless preloaded junk.

How do you check for the memory? I could only find the media/flash memory.

How do you guys have so much memory? Mine even Brand New didn't show over 100. It's at about 87 after battery pull and down to 72.2 right now. Between 10-15 apps.

Left Alt Right Shift and H simultaneously.

Alternatively, BB App World, the latest will show available memory. BB App World shows less memory available than the method above. Explanation could be that you need to leave a certain amount of memory free and apps cannot fill the "tank" to the limit.

What OS are you running? Have you removed languages you don't need any other junk that is unnecessary?
