And that the only profile you customize is the "Normal" one. The rest apply the settings that you have for Normal to go with their "intended" function (silent will make everything silent but keep any LCD notifications, Phone Only will only notify you of phone calls, etc.).

And I don't think exceptions are possible.

I wish I could say yes. At my last job, I had a BB but it was configured on a BES with AES encryption, thus security policies and such. You would think the wizard would send the service books automatically once you set things up....but when is anything in IT logical?

Sorry, so if you're new to a blackberry from a nonblackberry you have to loggin somewhere and create a BIS? What is a BIS, and where can I find it?

I'm new to BB and just purchased a Tour today. I have a couple questions if you don't mind...

    1. How can I get my message inbox to only show me the SMS texts received?
    2. Is it possible to just different envelope icons? (one for sms, one for email, one for facebook)

I think that's it for now. Otherwise, I absolutely love this phone and thanks in advance for any advice!
