I live in Ecuador and I have an unlocked BB Tour. I got this phone a month ago but couldn't activate the Blackberry service so I decided to change to another carrier and had no problems. The problem was that I was in a Family plan so it was more convenient for me. Yesterday I found out that when I use my mom's sim card I can connect to BIS, but when using mine I can't. Is there an explanation for this? Right now I'm using my mom's sim card and we decided to switch them so I can get the data service but someone at my carrier's customer service told me that there is a possibility that I could lose my connection to the data service at any moment, whether it is today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, etc. Is that possible?
