For years I have been in search of the perfect "PDA" phone. I had the i760 (so so for windows OS), a BB 8830 (horrible browser), an Omnia (to many probs to list) and a couple earlier PDA phone that I cant even remember what they were they were so bad. When I got the tour I was thrilled but some of the little "problems" like no threated SMS and contact alert issues let it fall short of perfect.
Well, I have to say that with 5.0, this is ALMOST the perfect phone and certainly the best I ever had. Fix a couple minor bugs and it would fantastic.
SMS: threaded finally - GREAT
Contact alerts: now get sound when changed from default
browser: still great but some minor click issues
BT: others reported problems but mine is fine
I did have one issue where even though I had sound set to loud, I wasnt getting any sound from any alert - phone, sms, or messages. Battery pull fixed it but hopefully was just a fluke and not an ongoing problem - will greatly change my excitement for 5.0
