I got my tour a few days ago and someone left me a vmail 3 days ago!! First off, visual voicemail didn't even pick it up. Then I opened visual voicemail and clicked menu/update messages and then the message showed up. After I listened to it I clicked delete. It isn't showing up in visual voicemail but the vmail icon is still on the phone. Then I called my voicemail and it said I had no messages. Then I reset my phone by taking the batery out and still the icon remains. What should I do now?

This happened to me because I just installed the Visual Voice mail and didn't call verizon to add it to my account it didn't provision right so we had to delete visual voice mail clear the voice mail icon then have them add visual voice mail back to my account and download and install visual voice mail again and since all has been fine. They told me that the self provision for the visual voice mail doesn't always work and can cause this issue. Hope this helps you.

Tried all of the above and nothing worked. Bb tech support said for me to completely wipe the handheld

Call yourself and leave yourself a Voicemail, then see if you can delete it, that should work...

When you get a chance edit your device info by your picture...

I cleared my event log and it won't let me delete these two... Not sure if it makes a difference.

Thats what I had to do to get rid of the icon on my phone also. Tech support could not get rid of it. Just wipe it.

And it is the actual VM icon, not the missed call or envelopes?
