    WLM, AOL, Yahoo, GTalk will sign off with an error. BBM will go to unavailable with a red X until you hang up.

    this is of course if your talking about the data apps verses the one VZW provides that uses text msgs

    the only one pasued is BBM, not the rest of the data apps. Those get forced sign off errors

    sometimes and sometimes not..

    there is a duration for the auto signoff..

    you do not receive messages but it doesn't always sign you off.

    Actually I use yahoo messenger all the time on my curve. It never logs off during or within minutes of a call. I get whatever comes in after the call ends.

    and nce ur on the call long enough, like 5 to 10 minutes or more, then the app signs off as an error. Also, Ims sometimes resume on short calls but downloads through IM get canceled immediately
