Hey gang,

I've noticed that my option to set up an alert for visual voicemail has disappeared. Whether I am setting up regular alerts or custom profiles, it no longer shows up under any of the folders (phone, messages, reminders, other). I have already uninstalled vvmail and reset, then reinstalled. I also hoped it would be resolved with a full wipe before reinstalling the 5.2.1 hybrid, but still, no dice.

Not the biggest deal, except I had it set to volume 2 on my "In Office" profile, and it is still alerting with a volume 9.

Don't remember seeing this since anywhere here and can't find an answer from forums. Anyone else have this issue?

not to repost, but is this really an issue that NO ONE has experienced/heard of nor has any feedback on? There are threads with people asking if the tour has a touchscreen and people reply to it?! Any help would be appreciated people.

I wonder if it's a problem with the Hybrid OS you're running? Did it happen when you had OS 4.7.1.40?

I don't use VVM any more since the issue I had with OS 4.7.1.40 but now I'm running the leaked Version 5.

It has only been happening to me since I went to hybrid 4.3. Weird because I haven't seen it as an issue for anyone else in the Tour Hybrid thread.

I have a new Tour and I have the same problem with the 4.7.1.40. But I've narrowed it down to when I delete a voice mail message and move to fast aftwards. If I delete a message and wait for the unit to catch up its all good. When the unit locks nothing on the keyboard work at all. I found pulging in the charger gets you back to the main screen and frees up every app but VVmail. After about a minute or two I get the" Uncaught execption Application VVmail_9630 (242) is not responding : process terminated" .

My unit never automatically syncs the Voice mail. I have to request a resync if I want to use the feature. is that how it's suppoes to work

I had visual voicemail but then switched to Youmail because I was tired of paying an extra 3 bucks a month for something I can get for free.

Does your carrier charge for call forwarding? Sprint does, so after 15 voicemail messages, it'll cost us $3 already.

That's not how it's supposed to work. I spent 4 hrs on the phone with Vz yesterday trying to get mine to sync automatically. No dice. They're sending me a new phone... Hope it works.

i had a weird issue this morning. got a new voicemail, went to ckick on the icon and nothing happened!!!! rebooted, still nothing. all other icons were responsive and normal but vvm!!!! downloaded again, but was a newer version and everything went back to normal. anyone else had this prob before????? was working fine before, dont know what couldve happened. any input is appreciated

I've been experiencing the same problems with VVM on my Tour. Called Verizon and per their instructions, I deleted and re-installed VVM...same issues. There is a nasty lag when checking VMs and it freezes up essentially making the phone unusable until VVM terminates itself.

Tech from VZ said that I should upgrade to OS 5.0 if the delete and re-install didnt work. However, he didn't know that the OS 5.0 is not out yet...what can you expect i guess...

I just checked to see if there is a new version, lo and behold, 1.0.11 is now available, downloading now, hopefully all of the lock up issue will be resolved!
