I have three lines on my account through the family share plan, with none of them being eligible for the discounted phone at this point. The closest one is six months away at this point. I went ahead and decided to try my luck at calling Verizon and asking if I could get the Tour at the $199 price on the line that is six months out, given how long I have been a customer, have three lines, pay them over $2500 a year, use autopay and have a perfect payment history. To my surprise, the rep put me on hold for a few moments and then came back stating that she would change the NE2 date on this line and ship the Tour today.

It is great to know that Verizon will bend the rules from time to time for good customers!
