I've got a buddy that is on the verizon network and is wanting to get rid of his tour. Is there any way to unlock it for use on the sprint network? I've done a search and could not find anything.
You can unlock the phone, but it won't work on Sprint's network. Unlocking a CDMA phone enables it work on GSM carriers but not another domestic CDMA carrier.

+1. and the 3G only works over seas on GSM. on US GSM it's only edge (2G)

Truthfully, it doesn't matter anyway because spaciorek is right, flashing won't work unless you have a valid ESN from Sprint.
PS - if you're ever having a problem with a poster, you can always report them by clicking the red triangle with on exclamation point in it on the upper right corner of their post.
