im trying to download the 5.0 OS for my blackberry but im with verizon . how do i find the vendor.xml file when trying to download it from sprint ?

In that same folder launch the Application Loader (loader.exe)

Use the LOADER program found in the same or same general location as the Vendor file.

Program files won't show up? Totally lost here. Tried for last hour to locate.

Use the computer's search function and search for "vendor.xml" - that should finally get you to that folder.

I deleted the vendor.xml and launched the apploader but I cannot seem to be able to load os5. Any help anyone? All I see when I launch the apploader are the apps I have, nothing about loading an OS.

Check your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files folder to see if the 5.0 OS is there... if it's there and you've deleted the vendor file from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader you should be able to load the OS, hope this helps!

I followed all the steps and even went thru the loader process. Unplugged my Tour and still sitting on .61. Very aggravated with it. Plugged my Tour into DM and I clicked on "About device" and it states I have the 5.0.484 as my OS. What the f*ck? What the **** did I load on my Tour then?

Did you have all OS other than the one you wanted to install uninstalled from the computer via add/remove programs?
