    I just switched to a 9630 from a 8330. I was using the letter "A" as a speed dial on my 8330. However, on my 9630 it locks the phone. Is there a way to not have it lock the phone so I can use it as a speed dial?

    No. You can't change it.

    You can change it but it will revert back after a reset as it is hard coded.
