I have the tour 9630 been working great. I have not messed with any connections or anything. Today I wake up and launch the browser instead of seen the usual verizon home page I get this message. " VZW MOBILE WEB IS UNAVAILABLE OVER WI-FI CONNECTION, HOWEVER, YOU CAN STILL ACCESS THE INTERNET AND SEARCH THE WEB. TO ENJOY THE LATEST NEWS,SPORTS,WEATHER AND ENTERTAINMENT THROUGH VZW MOBILE WEB PLEASE SWITCH TO THE VERIZON WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION."
This phone does not even have wife..... what gives.. Im using v4.7.1.40 and its on the verizon network under connections its green and its active but i cannot use the internet what gives help guys and gals.
Have you tried a battery pull? Keep in mind the mobile web is the same for their devices across the board, they do have devices that have WiFi, so their error messages would have to cover them all. Not sure why you are pulling the wrong error message however.
Can you browse to any other web sites? Hit menu > go to and try google. Could be a location issue or they are having issues with the server you are normally connecting to (though I am sure the issue would be more wide spread)
I belive this is a Verizon issue, I had the same issue last night and it went way by itself this morning. I did nothing to my phone to get it to clear.

I hope so thank god i thought i did something wrong. how long did it last at least I can still get my work emails.
I just checked and I'm getting the same message on my tour here in Lancaster, Pa area. VZW must be having issues today. Oh, OS 5 .230 hybrid on my phone so not your os for sure.
Had similar problem a month back, called vzw and they had me type ##000000 , went down to sip password which appears empty, typed vzw , hit BB key and told to store, phone rebooted and all is fine now. The tech said it had forgot the password??? All I know is that it has been flawless since

I began getting the same message on my Tour yesterday, obviously not a WiFi device. I was looking at a Storm2 last night at a VZ store and that also was giving the same message for this link. Has to be a VZ problem and not our phones.
Still on the phone with VZW and the tech I have has a storm and having the same issue. He is calling Blackberry, mine keeps working then not working, so who knows. When I get some answers I will post again.
Well the lastest update is VZW believes there is an issue between them and blackberry and they opened a case to research the issue. Sorry no good news as of now, will keep everyone posted.
well i just got off the phone with VZW and they fixed my problem. dont know what it was but it took 1hr to fix. and several changes to the berry and 2 battery pulls called *228 option 1 then option 2 then ##000000 also changed the verizon from global to 1XEV unknown what it was before. I also had to re do my entire email system and they re worked something and ficxed the issue right away.
UGH, i just got my tour tonight and this is what my browser said when i tried to load a page, just did a batt pull, hopefully it resolves itself soon! if not, guess i'm calling

I just got my Tour today also, and have had problems with it ever since getting home. It will work for a few minutes, then not work. FaceBook app has never worked. Hope Verizon gets its crap together... definitely not a good first impression.
