Is there anyway I can disable the click that the camera makes when I take a picture...If I am somewhere where my phone's sound must be disabled, I don't want heads turning if I am attempting to take a picture...I don't see any option to do so in the Camera application. Maybe there is a free app floating around?

There is an app in the crackberry store called BerryAnnoying that silences it but you don't see an option on your phone as it is a safety measure, because otherwise perverts might take shots up people's skirts.

I also would like to see a free app surface because I'd love to use my BB to snap shots of deer when I'm in the woods

There's also peekaboo but I think I prefer Acez71's suggested program.

Also, if you purchase Quicklaunch, it has a camera mute feature. So, there are options.

I'm surprised that you need to buy an app to disable that noise.. I agree there have been a few times I have been trying to take a picture discretely and then the noise goes off and it's like WTF

The CameraMuteApp works great. Ive had it one my phone for over a month now.

But if you do a battery pull, sometimes you need to redo the app
