Trying to Preorderthe Tour online....
- Im trying to upgrade my phone through the online system and the Tour is not displayed, so I click on "live chat" and here is the convo:

- I was talking to some people at the VZW store and they were saying that people arent really amped over this phone, and most people dont know it exists. - Good chance that since the page is just being posted up at VZW, she might not know how to handle the new phone. Doesn't sound like she was playing dumb. She told you she can only help you with phones currently on the site and redirecting you to call tomorrow morning, where you'd likely get someone who knew more about it once hours have passed and everyone's on the same page.06-29-09 11:47 PMLike 0

I was just on a chat session with a rep. She told me it was available, but that I needed to call in to order the Tour since the web site was having issues and she couldn't help me.
I call in, get "Jeff" on the line and he has no idea what the F I'm even talking about. Didn't know the site was up, said the release date wasn't until the end of July and that I didn't know what I was talking about when I told him the pre-order site was up.

She said "the customers know more than us lol".
So either VZW doesn't tell their employees much or they do and they're supposed to keep their mouths shut and pretend like they don't know.

- I have a question... will I be able to preorder a Tour at the 2 year upgrade price online if I need to "steal" an upgrade from another line on my family plan?
I let my wife use "my" NE2 upgrade in December, so I'll be using her upgrade which became available in April.
Will I be able to do it online through the preorder pathway? Or will I have to preorder the Tour on my wifes's line, then do an online ESN switch after I activate the Tour on her line?
