I have looked everywhere and can't find the answer -
There is an icon on the screen, bottom right hand side. Mine has a circle with a cross through it and 3 little marks to the right. Another phone here just has the circle with the crosss. What does this mean?
It's GPS. If you turn GPS location services off in the Advanced Options menu, the 3 broadcast bars will disappear. I think the compass icon remains on as long as "Device GPS" is selected as the GPS Data Source. I have no way of testing this though, as the phone must recognize another source before one has the option to change it.
