just wanting to know if there is anything I can do about this issue.

Issue: my trackerball is ok with horizontal/vertical movement. it clicks on the icons it highlights, the only issue I have is when Im using the browser, for example. It will not let me click search after typing something on the search block on google. I can't click any links or anything.

Question: How do I fix this or restart my phone?

Try a battery pull, worked for me.

Restart is a simple Battery Pull. With the power on, pull battery from your device, wait 30 seconds, reinstall. Let it reboot and see if that has cleared the problem.

With your browser open, click Menu>Options>Browser Configuration, verify that your Emulation is set to BlackBerry.
