This is great news! I hope it's accurate and I can't wait! My 1 year contract will be up in Nov. so hopefully the bugs will be fixed by then. Though I'm confident the Tour will not have much.

its a good point but i feel (hope) its the release date because if they dont announce it until they will loose business to all the other phones being released early summer

Kevin Byrne posted over at HoFo this morning that the Tour will be released on Verizon on July 13th.

Knowing Kevin's reputation for solid information regarding Blackberry release dates, along with the fact that he posted a specific date instead of just something like "mid-summer" or "July," I feel that we can trust this date as accurate.

I would also like to mention that for the storm launch there was about 45 dates guessed before it came out...

So take it all with a grain of salt

I would think it is safer to assume that this would be the "announcement" date as Kevin over on hofo didnt say much or add much besides the date. Truth of the matter is, we really DONT know. All we know now is, we have a date.

And don't worry about the FCC docs. I've seen phones get the FCC docs released 1 month before the phone was released. So to me, this is not that surprising. I would still safely be putting prediction of the release in August.
