I figured that this might have been posted here before, but decided to re-post since all Tours should be out of warranty by now, and that most exhibit issues that are hardware related.

Of course you should try battery pulls as well as setting trackball sensitivities to 80 or 90 beforehand.

Good info, BUT 1 word of caution, be VERY careful opening up the device as you can damage it very easy. The ribbon wires and such are very easy to break!

Yeah especially the side speaker, there's a possibility of the rubber surround snagging during reassembly and getting caught in between the speaker and board contacts.
