Everytime I get an email or txt/BB msg, it just comes up on the screen after the alert. I don't want this cause some are personal and come in when I'm in mtgs. How can I change this setting so it just alerts me & doesn't show the msg right on the screen when it comes in? Remember seeing this setting somewhere but can't seem to find it.
Finally found it! After being on phone/hold with Verizon Wireless for almost an hour....they couldn't figure it out, tech support couldn't figure it out and believe it or not, Blackberry couldn't do it right! they suggested the following:
1) go into Messages
2) hit BB menu button & select options
3) select General Options
4) change Display new Message Indicator to NO
This did fix the issue, however, it did not tell me where my new msg was (ie. if it was an email vs. txt msg). The way I fixed it was:
1) same as above
2) same as above
3) same as above
4) Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster - changed to NEVER.
