the only problem would be how many the company can produce to put out..
when your talking about a side by side launch of carriers.. that is..
i mean i see the issue, but until it's plastered all over verizon wireless, if not anywhere else, who else really knows about this phone, minus employees, and us crackberry addicts?
if they announce it officially (and by this i mean plastered on the website, if anything) then MAYBE there'd be an issue with devices, but i don't think an infinite number of these are gonna go out the first day, or even the first week. big numbers just from us crackberry users, but i mean its not gonna be 7348976895759 of them. RIM's been busting out these bad boys for a while, i'm sure they know what they're doing.
Totally fiending for the tour to drop. Can't upgrade til Sept. though. I spoke with verizon rep bout moving my date up for when tour comes out and she told me it wouldn't be out until after my contract was up. She did say that if by chance it came out before that, I could just drop her an email and she would reup me.
If what she said was true, then we all will be waiting another 8 wks. at least!

I'm sure the verizon reps are totally wrong on this. They have been wrong many times before. I'm sure we know more than they do.

im getting so antsy...i swear everyday another one of my friends is getting a BB...the tour is going to be my first so to me its tourture (no pun intended)

I'm in the exact same boat. I was playing nice and let my wife use my upgrade in May cuz her phone broke. Now I have to wait to use hers in Sept. I just sent an email to a VZW rep hoping they'll let me move my date up. I don't get the upgrade system anyway. I activated both my and my wife's line on the same day, and our upgrades were months apart. I'm even more anxious because this will be my first BB.

Ya, but I was wondering about the Promo ending before release. Not the rebate why would the rebate end before release.

They announced it right around the same time. BOGO was still going for a little while the Flip was out I believe. I haven't heard any news of anyone getting 2 Flips though. But ya. I think that's why they ended BOGO, the 2 new Blackberries. BOGO only started when the Storm first came out and the OS was well...
Im a newbie and my story is I used to have the Pearl and loved it. Then switched to Telus and was going to upgrade to Curve but got talked into Touch Pro. Hate, Hate, Hated it. Then it broke. Was going to pay full price for Curve to replace but THEN..... The Tour!!! Love the Blackberry so much, no more messing with a good thing. Its Full Canadian price for me. Anybody want an HTC Touch Pro, refurbished for cheap?
